Nothing Beside Remains

It’s basically a graveyard out there. Not even a graveyard - at least in a cemetery there’s headstones, markers. The bodies out there aren’t marked. Buried, sure, buried deep - but not marked. If you go and scrounge around for awhile you might find some things. Panels, parts, rusted out bits and pieces of downed starfighters.

There’s this lone heavy turret on the outskirts of the battlefield. It got blasted from its cruiser and somehow landed upright in the desert. Years later, it’s still standing. Scavengers have left it alone. I think they respect it, like a somber memorial of the old war.
